Maine Coon Kittens to Canada
Kats Kits kittens can go home to Canada at 10 weeks, the same age as kittens staying in the US. Canada does not require a rabies vaccination for cats under three months old, although border officers may ask for proof of age, and an inspection fee can apply at the border.
- Flight nanny to a major Canadian airport such as Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg or Montreal.
- Fly to Minneapolis, meet Kat and take your kitten home in the cabin. Check your airline's rules for pets on cross-border flights when you book.
- Airline cargo on routes that carry pets into Canada.
- Ground transport, which suits Manitoba and northwestern Ontario best.
Airlines usually ask for a vet's health certificate, and Kat will tell you exactly what paperwork your route needs.
Maine Coon Kittens to Australia
Kittens can go to Australia, but the country's import rules are strict and take months, so it is not something to arrange at 10 weeks. For a cat coming from the US, the Australian Department of Agriculture currently requires:
- An ISO microchip, fitted before the rabies vaccination.
- A rabies vaccination, given when the kitten is at least 12 weeks old.
- A rabies antibody blood test (RNATT) at an approved laboratory, followed by a 180-day wait before the cat can travel.
- An import permit, parasite treatments and a USDA-endorsed health certificate.
- Travel as cargo into Melbourne, then at least 10 days in government quarantine at Mickleham.
In practice the process takes at least six to eight months, so a kitten is usually around nine to ten months old when it lands, and the flight is arranged by a specialist pet transport company. The rules change from time to time, so check the department's import conditions before you start. If you are in Australia, please talk to Kat before you reserve a kitten, so you can plan the timing together.

Questions About Getting a Kitten Home
Do you ship Maine Coon kittens to every state?
Yes. Kittens travel anywhere in the continental US by flight nanny, airline cargo or ground transport, and you can always fly to Minneapolis and collect your kitten yourself.
Do you ship Maine Coon kittens to Canada?
Yes. A kitten can go to Canada at 10 weeks with a flight nanny, as airline cargo or by ground transport, or you can fly to Minneapolis and take it home. Kittens under three months do not need a rabies vaccination to enter Canada, though proof of age may be asked for.
Can I get a Maine Coon kitten in Australia?
Yes, but not at 10 weeks. Australia's import rules for cats from the US take at least six to eight months to complete and include government quarantine in Melbourne, so a kitten is usually around nine to ten months old when it arrives. Talk to Kat before reserving.
How much is a Maine Coon kitten from Kats Kits?
A Maine Coon kitten from Kats Kits is $700, with a $200 deposit to reserve. Travel is quoted for your route.
Which is the best way to get a kitten to my state?

My state is not listed. Can I still get a kitten?
Yes. The state pages cover the states families most often ask about, but kittens can travel to any state. Ask Kat about your route.
